BIOGRAPHY
David Hollifield was born in Orlando, Florida and has lived in Gwinnett County since 1998.. David is one of six children and grew up with a love for fishing, outdoors, and football.
After joining the National Guard at 19 David decided to pursue higher education, first at Georgia Gwinnett College for his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He then completed his Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University College of Law. While at GSU Law, David served as one of two Student Senators to represent the College of Law in the GSU Student Government Association.
David also participated in the GSU Law Immigration Clinic. During his time in the clinic, the bulk of David's work consisted of representing an Afghan female in her asylum claim at the time when the American military withdrew from Afghanistan and the Taliban seized control of the county. Having been deployed to Afghanistan, this particular opportunity held great meaning for him and his client. David is very passionate about building relationships with people and fighting for them in any way he can - which is what drove him to become an attorney.
David had the unique opportunity to start working at Wood Craig Miller as an intern under Attorney Harlan Wood during the last summer of law school. The match was so perfect that he never left. He worked as a litigation legal assistant for about a year until passing the Bar exam and accepting the offer to become an Associate.
He is married to a 5th grade teacher and they have one adorable son together. They have two german shepherds named Georgia and Dixie, as well as two cats named Mouse and Cricket. They especially enjoy beach trips as often as possible and the annual mountain vacation for David's birthday. David has developed a knack for home cooked barbecue, and also tries to stay active with competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - in which he has earned his blue belt.
