Wrong way driver on I-75 takes three lives

Police arrested Jorge Solis after he crashed into a small passenger car. Tragically, the accident results in the deaths of an adult male and two children, ages seven and eight.

According to reports, Mr. Solis was driving an F-350 pickup truck north in the southbound lanes when the crash occurred early on Sunday, June 21, 2015 – Father’s Day.  A three-year-old child and another adult male were also involved in the crash and were seriously injured. Charges include Driving Under the Influence, Driving the Wrong Way, Serious Injury by Motor Vehicle and three counts of Vehicular Homicide.  Mr. Solis is currently in custody and being held without bond.

Ford F-350 pickup trucks are typically work trucks.  As details emerge, it will be determined whether the pickup truck driven by Mr. Solis, reportedly 20 years old, was in fact a commercial vehicle.  If it turns out the truck is a commercial vehicle registered to a business, there could be implications for the business.
